Put your sawed-off severed hands together! Hot off their premiere in The Public Theater’s musical adaptation of “Twelfth Night”, and just in time for New York Comic Con, Angela Hariell’s dance company, The Love Show, reunites with Corn Mo’s band, .357 Lover, to mount a fully realized theatrical run of their rock opera nightclub hit “BOOMSTICK BALLET: A Bruce Campbell Dance Opera in 3 Acts”. The show is a rollicking and reverentially irreverent homage to two Sam Raimi films and one Don Coscarelli film that starred the Cary Grant of cult classic horror flicks, Bruce Campbell! It premiered at (le) poisson rouge on Saturday, October 10, 2015, to an enthusiastic crowd of both seasoned Campbell aficionados and eager newbies. Due to popular demand, it is slated to return on October 6, 7, and 8, 2016 at Theater for the New City. Prepare for an evening of mayhem, beauty and slapstick, told through dynamic contemporary dance, theater, and original live rock ‘n’ roll!
